The Growing Griots Literacy Learning Program, (GGLLP), started under the direction of Mr. S. Bunjo Butler, Master Storyteller and  Dr. Mama Deborah Pierce-Fakunle and with mentors from the Griots’ Circle of Maryland.

Students are taught skills in oral presentation, writing and research and perform in programs at various locations. At the end of successful completion of the program, students receive a certificate.
